Svetlana-Ceca Ražnjatović (38) submitted a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro for admission to Montenegrin citizenship, "Vijesti" has learned in that ministry, and she should arrive in Tivat during the day.
A well-known Serbian woman arrives on a private flight from Ljubljana around 13:313 p.m., a Chinese-made ACXNUMX helicopter registered in one of the countries of the European Union.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not want to confirm the information about her arrival, but in a terse statement they said that in this particular case "there is no obstacle to proceed with the request for the acquisition of Montenegrin citizenship, in accordance with the valid regulations in that area".
It was confirmed that in the request, among other things, the controversial star stated that she is a Montenegrin daughter-in-law, as well as that she referred to the case of the legendary Serbian football player Dragan Džajić, who obtained a passport with the Montenegrin coat of arms.
"For now, the MUP is waiting for proof that it was written out of the book of citizens of Serbia," Assistant Minister of Internal Affairs Osman Šubasic told "Vijesta" in a telephone conversation.
When asked whether the eventual granting of citizenship to the folk music diva could contribute to worsening relations with official Belgrade, he answered:
"Look, I don't listen to that kind of music ... It's not a matter of someone's popularity and songs, but a legal process. We will decide in the interest of Montenegro"
The Ministry of Internal Affairs ordered at the beginning of the month that, without the public's knowledge, a legal team would be formed to assess whether the granting of citizenship is in conflict with the agreement between Montenegro and Serbia on extradition.
The Serbian prosecutor's office charges the singer with the illegal sale of football players, while she was at the head of FC "Obilic", and she faces a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
