At the invitation of the revolted locals, environmental and communal inspectors, as well as the president of the city municipality of Golubovci, Dušan Radonjić, were on the spot and stated that there is garbage covered with rubble on an area of 1 to 500 square meters, and the presence of medical equipment is also suspected. waste in this area.
The inspectors ordered that the disposal of waste be stopped and took a statement from the owner of "Transpetrol", Raj Šuškavčević, whom the locals cited as the culprit of this environmental disaster in Zeta.
"The fact is that they have a reason to protest, it's not filling with rubble, that is, construction waste, but municipal waste and who knows what else is under the ground," said Radonjić, adding that he would inform the Ministry of Agriculture and the Water Management Inspection, so that the case investigated and the culprits were sanctioned.
The Chief of Municipal Police, Radislav Vojvodić, confirmed to "Vijesti" that the municipal inspector made a report, which confirmed the existence of various waste at the location, and that they stopped further disposal of garbage.
"We have to investigate what it is about, who disposed of the waste and whether they had permission. In the next few days we will know what it is about," said Vojvodic.
For five or six days, they have been depositing garbage with "Transpetrol" trucks and then covering it with rubble so that it cannot be seen, claims Mahala resident Darko Dragović, stating that the same man unloaded over 300 cubic meters of garbage and medical waste in the river bed last year.
"They are trying to mask it and bury it. We need to excavate all this with an excavator to see what is there. The worst is at night when the wind carries the stench, we cannot survive," explained Dragović, stating that they want the culprit and his principals to be arrested.
Although the environmental inspector told them that someone would come to dig up the soil, no one came, so several locals took shovels and without much effort dug up sweaters, plastic, cans and the like.
"This red sweater was worn by Mugi when he came to power, you remember," one of the locals joked, pointing out the mayor of Podgorica, Miomir Mugoša, as the one who ordered and the one without whose permission such landfills could not be created.
They will not poison our children in order to get rich, said Dragan Tiodorović, stating that last year Republika Srpska paid Šuškavčević a million euros for the grit that was unloaded under the Vukovac bridge.
"They have been poisoning us here for years. This landfill is located 150 meters from our houses and a kilometer from the main water source for the coast," said his neighbor, Srđa Boljević.
Šuškavčević: I am an environmentalist
The owner of the company "Transpetrol" Rajo Šuškavčević told "Vijesta" that the accusations against him are not true, labeling himself as an environmentalist and a fighter for nature protection. - I just had an argument with the people from the village for throwing garbage, let them imagine how many times I cleaned up after them. I fixed that space, it was a disaster, but now they attacked me, because ten days ago I forbade them to take my materials for the house for free - said Suškavčević.
