On the occasion of the 1990th anniversary of the NATO bombing, the municipal organization "Association of War Fighters from 12" Nikšić laid flowers on the memorial to the fighters, members of the regular JNA and reservists, who died in the last war on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
The monument, located on Šak Petrović Square, was erected a few years ago by the aforementioned Association.
"We could not unite Yugoslavia, let alone the Balkans, and now we want Europe.
On this monument there are 61 names of honorable fighters who stood their ground.
When we went to the army, we all signed our trust to our homeland at the cost of our lives.
They gave their lives for this homeland and we are here to, every day if necessary, pay tribute to them and remember them," said Slobodan Žugić, president of the municipal organization "Association of War Veterans since 1990".
