MZ Buljarica supports holding the Sea Dance Festival in Buljarica

The Council of the Local Community of Buljarica supports the support of the summer music festival Sea Dance.

They reacted to the statement of local resident Ilija Armenko, who stated in front of a group of residents that he was against holding the Sea Dance Festival in the yards of houses.

"The Buljarica Municipal Council, as the only legitimate representative of the locals, unequivocally supports holding the Sea Dance festival in Buljarica. Mr. Armenko is not a representative of the locals, but can speak for himself. In order to accurately inform the public, it should be announced as such, because it is not true that the locals do not support the holding of the festival. For all disputed issues, there is a Council of the Ministry of Health, whose meetings can be attended by all interested residents and openly discuss all issues of interest to the place", the response of the Council of the Ministry of Health states.

They state that it is an indisputable fact that Buljarica is infrastructurally unequipped and that there is a lack of traffic infrastructure and sewage, which is the result of decades of neglect by the municipal authorities.

"However, the Council of the Ministry of Health is encouraged by the fact that the Municipality of Budva is planning the design and construction of four roads in the coming period, as well as the construction of a sewage network and an outlet to the sea. We are sure that holding the Sea Dance festival will speed up the implementation of these infrastructure projects. Also, a transformer station will be put into operation, which, apart from the needs of the festival, will solve the problem of electricity supply for a large part of Buljarica. Also, we all know very well that the tourist season in Buljarica ends on August 25 and that this festival will be an extension of it," the Council states.

They point out that the Sea Dance Festival is the first organized event to be held in Buljarica in the last thirty years, and the MZ Buljarica supports its organization, as an event that will increase and accelerate investments in the infrastructure of Buljarica.

"The previous organized attempt at the event in Buljarica was an attempt to enact Lex specialis, which would have deprived the natives of their property. We do not remember that Mr. Armenko advertised on that occasion, when the threat to him and his neighbors was expropriation and eviction, and not a European festival lasting several days. The Municipal Municipality of Buljarica remains open to all constructive proposals in order to contribute in cooperation with the Municipality of Budva to the best possible organization of the festival and, of course, to the improvement of the quality of life in Buljarica", the announcement concludes.
