The President of the Municipality, Željka Vuksanović, will decide how to respond to the Ministry of Defense, which requested that the local administration state whether there are any obstacles to the use of the area at the Savina voda location on that mountain for the needs of the Black Army, only after consultation with the locals, who use the katuns on Sinjavina. Above. In that area, a training ground for combat shootings and the destruction of ordnance would be built.
As Vuksanović told "Vijesta", at a gathering organized a few days ago on that occasion, the locals expressed their fear that the use of that area, as a training ground for combat shootings and destruction of ordnance, would significantly limit their use of the mountain.
"In addition, the locals expressed their fear that there could be a negative impact on the waters, from the Savina water reservoir to the underground waters that have been determined to originate from that area, springing at the foot of the mountain and which they use for drinking and other household needs. That's why it was decided that, after preparing the answers to all their questions, a new assembly will be scheduled to which representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Montenegro will be invited for the most direct insight of the locals into their demands", said the president of the Municipality of Kolašin.
For the implementation of Army projects, notes Vuksanović, in addition to land on the territory of the municipality of Kolašin, land located on the territory of the municipalities of Mojkovac and Šavnik is also needed. According to unofficial information, those municipalities have already given their consent.
In the municipality of Kolašin, the training ground would cover a land area of about 21 million square meters in the cadastral municipalities of Lipovo and Lipovska Bistrica.
"In the request, it was made clear that the land in question is owned by Montenegro, but that, because there are katuns built in the municipalities of Mojkovac and Kolašin, an initiative is being launched to find an agreement on how to use that land," said Vuksanović.
