Works worth more than 100 euros are planned in four schools in Podgorica, said Milica Lekić, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Education.
In the schools "Štampar Makarije" and "Oktoih", the reconstruction of the halls is planned, and in the school "Pavle Rovinski" the parquet in the classrooms and the facade.
Works are also planned at the "Vladika Danilo" school.
Some of the works, as announced, will begin during the spring, and some during the summer, depending on the type of works, that is, whether they would threaten the regular teaching process or not.
"In total, there are ongoing or recently completed investments, just in sports school infrastructure, amounting to one million euros," Lekić pointed out.
As she said, the Ministry of Education is planning a major investment cycle not only in schools in the capital city but also beyond.
"Last year, work was carried out on more than 100 buildings, and we expect that this year, too, work will be carried out on a similar number of buildings throughout Montenegro. The budget for investments in the Ministry this year has been increased by about 30 percent compared to the previous one, and we will direct it as on planned investments as well as on the needs of schools that will be opened "on the fly", said Lekić.
In the school "Štampar Makarije" and "Oktoih", as announced, 30 thousand euros will be invested each from the Ministry of Education and about the same amount from the Ministry of Sports, and the investments in the other two mentioned schools are also significant.
Director of "Štampar Makarije" Nataša Vlahović said that the reconstruction of the hall has started in that school in cooperation with the ministries of education and sports.
"This is just one of the projects we are planning for the next period, with which we are creating healthy young generations," Vlahović pointed out.
The director of the "Oktoih" school, Mirjana Radulović, pointed out that the ministries of education and sports will reconstruct the hall together.
"In addition, during the winter break, we invested in two IT cabinets, buying equipment and strengthening the Internet, and we also worked on the school library. We are currently working on the park in front of the school, where our little ones spend time," she said.
The director of the "Pavle Rovinski" school, Dijana Laković, announced that in the previous period, they did an analysis of the school's needs, which resulted in plans for the reconstruction of the facade, as well as the school parquet.
