Almost 580 students are registered in dual education

In dual education, almost 580 students and over 250 employers were registered, announced the director of the Center for Vocational Education, Duško Rajković, and assessed that the project had come to life.

He said, as reported by the Ministry of Education, that it is particularly important that there are 56 students with employers in the third grade.

"This gives us the conviction that this is really a project that has come to life, because the employers themselves, in addition to training them, pay a monthly fee of around 100 euros, which means that they are really interested in serious training of students", said Rajković.

Dual education implies parallel learning in a vocational school and training with employers for a fee.

Rajković added that a portfolio was created for each of the employers, which, in addition to the basic data, contains data on the employer's material and personnel capabilities, in order to be sure that the children are in good hands.

"The Department of Education is preparing the Professional is key campaign for this year as well, and we are planning further expansion of the dual system," Rajković said.

Hotel Hemera is one of the employers in the dual system.

The head chef of the hotel, Slobodan Radmanović, announced that the fact is that they are short of staff in the hospitality industry.

"That is why it is especially important for us that through this concept of education, in which practical teaching is important, children get to know the real work environment. They proved to be good, and we give them the opportunity to really learn everything from us and participate in all activities. The idea of ​​introducing dual education is excellent and we expect it to spread further", said Radmanović.

Milica Marović, a second-year student of the "Sergije Stanić" school, pastry chef, who is doing her internship in Hemera, said that she hopes that, if the mentors are satisfied, she will continue her work in that hotel after finishing her education.

The Ministry reminded that the dual concept of education was launched in Montenegro two years ago, after almost a decade.

"Dual education is a system in which the student attends theoretical classes at school, and completes practical education with employers and receives compensation for it," said the Ministry.

The student learns and develops skills with the support of the best masters - instructors of practical education. After completing the education, the student is able to work independently in the profession for which he was educated, and there is also a significant opportunity for employment.

"In the first grade, the student spends one day a week with the employer, in the second grade, two days, and in the third grade, three days," the announcement states.

A student who wants to be educated in a dual form applies to the school. The number of enrollment places depends on the interest of employers.

The student, that is, his parent and employer sign a contract on practical education. After dual education, education can be continued after passing differential exams.
