On Lake Skadar in the Pantovac region, three abandoned vessels were confiscated by the coordinated action of members of the border navigation unit.
As reported by the NGO Carp Security Group, the vessels contained illegal electrofishing tools and caught fish.
The seized vessels were brought to Vranjina near the premises of NP Skadarsko jezero, where they were stored at the gamekeeper's house.
Seized equipment used for poaching"The confiscated vessels were photographed with the found illegal fishing tools and the fish in them. The equipment was stored in the warehouse of NP Skadarsko jezero. The inspector for freshwater fishing was called for further legal proceedings. As all three parties were convinced that the fish caught was still always alive, we made the decision to return the fish to the water, which was done in the presence of everyone", according to the press release of the NGO Carp Security Group.
They add that they owe special thanks to the members of the Border Navigation Unit in preventing poaching on Lake Skadar.
