The municipality of Tivat has published a public call for institutions, local communities, and tenant assemblies to submit a request to the local administration for the arrangement of green areas and to join the action "To have a tree - plant a seedling first".
This action was initiated by the Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development and the Secretariat for Youth, Sports and Social Protection of the Municipality of Tivat.
With the request, it is necessary to submit the exact location of the green area and a photo of the current state. The public call begins on March 21 with Forest Day and lasts until April 2, and requests are submitted to the address of the Municipality of Tivat, Trg magnolija 1, or by e-mail," the local administration announced.
As explained, based on the continuous and successful cooperation between the Municipality and the Public Institution for Accommodation, Rehabilitation and Resocialization of Psychoactive Substance Users in Kakaricka Gora-Podgorica, the possibility of continuing cooperation through the procurement of seedlings appeared.
"Namely, the clients/women of the Kakaricka gora institution have occupational therapy for the cultivation of ornamental plants, and these seedlings are then placed on the market", says the Municipality, noting that precisely such seedlings will be used in the new project of beautifying and enriching public green areas in Tivat.
