The spilling of red paint into the Lješnica river was caused by the negligent actions of the workers of the Bjelopolje printing house "Pegaz", the Bjelopolje Secretariat for Inspection Affairs informed "Vijesti".
From that secretariat, they add that the owner of the printing house, Zoran Loktionov, has accepted responsibility and that procedural actions have been initiated against the perpetrator.
On the Lješnica and Lim rivers in Bijelo Polje, a red liquid appeared today, it was announced earlier from the NGO Euromost.
"We immediately notified all competent inspections, and our activists visited the field," say Euromost and call on the Basic State Prosecutor's Office to react.
They say that it is interesting that everything is happening on World Water Day and that there will be no progress until the perpetrators are punished.
The Secretariat for Inspection Affairs announced earlier that in cooperation with the Communal Police, they undertook inspection and communal surveillance measures on the Lješnica River.
"On the ground along the bed of the Lješnica river, a large number of first-class subjects and natural persons were controlled. It was established that the spill was caused by an unknown person. In the further procedure, we will take measures and actions to determine the person who caused this serious incident", announced was previously from the Secretariat for Inspection Affairs.
The Secretariat and the Municipal Police announced at that time that they would take the strictest punishments provided for by law in accordance with legal regulations, in order to protect citizens from unscrupulous citizens.
Samples were removed from the field and sent for further analysis.
