Celebrating 20 years since the NATO bombing, family members of fighters who died during the nineties and the Association of War Fighters from 1991-1999. they laid flowers on the monument to the fighters of the so-called of the Nikšić-Šavnica group, which is located on "Šaka Petrovića" Square, near the Cathedral Church in Nikšić.
The monument, on which 62 names of fighters who died in the last war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Croatia, were inscribed, was erected by the Association in 2006.
The President of the Municipal Board of the Association, Blažo Đurković, said that just as lies and truth will be together, honor and shame will live forever.
As he said, honor belongs to those who wore the uniform with honor, carried out the tasks of the elders, defended the homeland, as well as to their families, while, as he said, the honor belongs to those who do not renounce the declaration of "war for peace".
"Bruka belongs to those who silently and condescendingly allowed the great power to exhume, rebury and mark the remains of Hitler's soldiers, and they want to erase, let alone mark, the existence and sacrifice of their fallen fighters," said Đurković.
The President of the Association, Radan Nikolić, said that the NATO aggressor is being condemned all over Montenegro for "the crime he committed and celebrates the heroism of the fallen heroes".
"The Army of Montenegro, which seems to be only in the title, since Montenegro's accession to NATO, has 'captured' the monuments to the fighters in the barracks in Masline, Podgorica and Danilovgrad and does not allow the families of the fallen fighters, the Association and admirers to lay flowers This shows how sovereign a country Montenegro is, how much the Army really is the army of Montenegro. It seems that only the Army is of a scale that needs to justify the expenditures that are allocated for it from the state budget at the expense of the citizens," said Nikolić.
As he said, there are "sons and brothers of fallen soldiers in the army and in the police, and for that reason they respect both the army and the police, but they do not respect those, like the minister of 'surrender' Predrag Bošković, who does everything to humiliate everything patriotic that adorned the former army of Yugoslavia".
Delegations of New Serbian Democracy, Workers' Party, Democratic People's Party, Right of Montenegro, communists, members of NOR Yugoslav Option, Socialist People's Party, Alternative and Club of Voluntary Blood Donors "St. Sava" laid flowers at the memorial.
After the holy liturgy, Bishop Joanikije of Budimlja-Niššić also performed a memorial service for the victims of the NATO bombing in the Cathedral of Saint Vasilije Ostroški, after which he also paid his respects in front of the memorial.
