Nikolina Baltić, an eight-year-old girl from Mojkovac, who suffers from a bone tumor, was successfully operated on in Belgrade this morning.
After an appeal for help from the Baltić family addressed to the citizens, the high school humanitarian organization "Karavan sceca" collected 24 euros for this girl, as confirmed by Nevena Jovanović from the "Karavana" organizing team.
"Actually, we thank her. We thank her because, at the age of eight, she taught us a lot. She taught us how to act as one, how to love and to believe in the strength we all possess," said Nevena in the conversation for "News".
She also added that Nikolina is the reason for their establishment.
"We saw a call for help and that's where it all started, we set out to make her dream come true," she concluded.
During the past months, they organized numerous gigs, bazaars, concerts and events in order to collect the necessary financial aid.
Ivana Mašanović, member of Karavan and student of "Niko Rolović" Gymnasium, said that she is honored to be part of this organization, because everyone is motivated by something that is truly human and humane.
"Caravan, worthy of its name, made happiness possible for Nikolina," she added.
Nikolina's family is very grateful to these young people.
"For more than a month, the whole of Montenegro breathed as one, thanks to good young people who did their best to save one life. My family and I are infinitely grateful to all citizens, especially those who organized the Caravan of Happiness. all that help was precious, the collected money saved my sister's life, I think you understand everything," said Nikolina's brother, Boban Baltić.
"Karavan" will continue with further work and try to "raise awareness of how small actions actually make us great people", as Nevena from the organizing team said.
