At the beginning of March, with the installation of two semi-underground containers at the locations of Trg Nezavisnosti and Ulica Novak Miloševa, the implementation of the separate waste collection project - with the disposal of the 'dry' and 'wet' fractions - officially began. Citizens can dispose of waste according to the principle of two containers.
Paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass will be disposed in one container of the "dry" fraction, and in the container of the "wet" fraction all types of municipal waste that are not contained in the dry fraction of waste, not including bulky waste and edible oils and fats.
"The project of implementing the "dry" and "wet" fractions through two vessels will give the expected effects, when the citizens fully accept the offered possibility and recognize it as an obligation to properly dispose of waste, and "Čistoća" will, in addition to improving the communal infrastructure, work intensively on education, primarily of the youngest ages, using the possibility of organizing workshops, delivery of brochures, visits to recycling yards and others," says the executive director of "Čistoće" Andrija Čađenović.
Čađenović also points out that the company is implementing the plan and dynamics of collecting and emptying containers for plant and bulky waste in the territory of the Capital City.
"We have designated 41 locations where, on certain days and dates, 10m³ containers will be placed for the disposal of plant and bulky waste, which will be marked with stickers with a clearly visible name and an illustrated representation of the type of waste that is disposed of. In the period from 00:19 to 19:23, green (for disposal of plant waste) and orange containers (for disposal of bulky waste) will be placed at designated locations, and containers will be emptied from XNUMX:XNUMX to XNUMX:XNUMX", says Čađenović.
Containers will be placed on Mondays at 5 locations in the settlements of Kokoti, Farmaci, Beri. On Tuesday at five locations in the settlements of Donja Gorica, Gornja Gorica and Sadine. On Wednesdays at seven locations in Block IX, Vranići, Block V, the part of the city across Morača and on Mali Brdo, on Thursdays at six locations in Zagorič and Zlatica, on Fridays at six locations in the neighborhoods of Masline and Konik, on Saturdays at seven locations in the neighborhoods of Zabjelo, Zelenika .
"We expect that the citizens will recognize this effort of Čistoća to raise the level of hygiene in the city, with an appeal that with their personal contribution, by disposing of waste in designated containers, they will help this concept fully achieve the desired ecological effect," says Čađenović.
In "Čistoća" they are aware that illegal landfills are a big problem for the city.
"'Wild landfills' are caused by the unscrupulous behavior of individuals. Their number is difficult to determine, considering that waste of various origins (construction, plant, old furniture, etc.) is continuously deposited on public areas and around containers, the same locations are often cleaned several times during one shift, and waste is often disposed of to newly cleaned locations. In addition to regular cleaning, we also have extraordinary landfill cleaning campaigns. We also had problems with vandalism by individuals, such as setting fire to underground containers."; says Čađenović.
Čađenović says that during 2019 an investment of 656.853,00 euros is planned
Čađenović says that during 2019, an investment of 656.853,00 euros is planned, and as the most significant investments he mentions the purchase of two garbage trucks with a volume of 16 m³, the purchase of a forklift, the purchase of 300 metal containers with a volume of 1,1 m³...
The funds planned in the capital city's budget for 2019 amount to 431.000,00 euros, and refer to the procurement of underground containers, garbage truck vehicles with a crane, the construction of a recycling yard, as well as the procurement of a mobile recycling yard.
Building for employees in "Cistoka"
The construction of a residential building for the employees of "Čistoća" is underway, which will have 96 residential units
In "Čistoća" they believe that the building will be completed by the end of the year.
"The price per square meter is EUR 587,00 with VAT included. At this extremely favorable price, which is significantly lower than the current market, employees in Čistoća will have the opportunity to participate in a competition to resolve their housing issues. Activities are underway to prepare an advertisement that will be published as soon as possible, and based on submitted requests, attached evidence and other important facts defined by the Ordinance, a ranking list will be determined for solving the housing needs of employees, when a large number of employees will solve one of the most important life issues by buying an apartment on more favorable terms." says Čađenović
