The leader of the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Milan Knežević, condemned this morning terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka and said that this event must alarm the entire world public to find a way to stand in the way of all forms of extremism while taking sanctions in an effective way
"On the occasion of the tragic events in Sri Lanka, on behalf of all the members and sympathizers of the DNP of Montenegro, as well as on my own behalf, I express my deepest condolences to all the families of the victims and the people of Sri Lanka. I join the numerous protests and condemnations by all individuals and peaceful nations on the occasion of the senseless massacre in that distant country...", announced Knežević.
"This shocking news about the massacre of innocent civilians and Christian believers, precisely on the day of Easter as the greatest Christian holiday, must alarm the entire world public to find a way to stand in the way of all forms of extremism by taking sanctions in an effective way. Heinous extremist actions like this , beyond all reason, as well as the one in New Zealand, where peaceful and innocent members of the Muslim faith were killed, point to extremist attempts to create a crisis in the world community. The darkened minds of different nations, religions and interests want to destabilize the world by collapsing its elementary values, freedom of religion , cultures and traditions of all peoples, religions and nations," said the DNP leader.
Knežević announced that he shares his conviction with all those who expect the international community to prevent new extremist plans, which result in the suffering of innocent believers and other citizens on all meridians.
"Such shocking events, which result in a large number of lost innocent lives due to someone's disturbed minds, extremist attitudes and possible revenges, warn all of us in Montenegro to additionally respect the fundamental values of this country. Multinational and multiconfessional peace and harmony were also remain a guarantee of the dignity and future of Montenegro, which is always on the side of peaceful humanity, far from all forms of extremism, as well as those of an inter-ethnic and inter-religious character," concluded Knežević.
