The summer tourist season in the Biogradska Gora National Park (NP) began earlier than was usual in previous years. The company says that they have finished all the preparations, and thanks to the good weather, they are ready to welcome the first guests.
According to the director of NP Marko Vlahović, complete furniture has been prepared and the educational path around the Biograd lake has been cleaned. The consequences of storms during the winter months were removed, so the road from Kraljevi kol to the parking lot was repaired. The visitor center and souvenir shop are in operation. The restaurant is expected to open on May 26, and the beginning of the fishing season is planned for that time. Prices are the same as last year. The entrance fee to the National Park costs three euros, and the fishing license costs 20 euros. This season, Kolasinci and Mojkovčni residents will be able to buy an annual ticket at a price of five euros.
"He expects an increase in tourist visits this year as well, which is continuously realized in NP Biogradska gora. Our contents are an original complement to all tourist arrangements organized by the Kolašin and Montenegrin tourism industry. There is almost no "packaged" tourist product that is organized in the north of Montenegro that can bypass the NP," says Vlahović.
In the coming months, the Botanical Garden will be part of the tourist offer of the National Park, and it is planned to open a souvenir shop and a Visitor Center with original contents in the administrative building of the National Park in the city.
A novelty in the offer are the cars, which are currently parked on Kraljevo kol.
"For the upcoming season, promotional rides for tourists will be organized. At the same time, all the traffic infrastructure will be prepared in order to achieve the safest, but also the most attractive inclusion of vehicles in the tourist offer of the Biogradska Prašuma. It is a tourist novelty that requires a lot of preparation, but also brings new moments in the experience of one of the few remaining nature reserves in Europe," says Vlahović.
