At the Rino Forum in Belgrade, which gathered 200 doctors from all over the world, Dr. Marko Stoiljkov from Bar achieved a great result.

The work of a young doctor from Bar, "Epithelial squamous metaplasia and dysplasia in inflammatory sinonasal polyposis" was declared the best in the category of the association of rhinologists-junior. Dr. Stoiljkov, who is completing his specialization in otolaryngology at the Belgrade Academy of Medical Sciences, points out that his participation in the "Rhino Forum" was of great importance.

"The forum gathered over 200 doctors from the USA, Great Britain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Germany, it was a great opportunity to hear experiences from other medical centers. I am even more pleased with the evaluation of my work in the association category junior rhinologist, in which twenty young otolaryngologists from all over the world participated. It is a ten-year study that was conducted at the VMA, and the presentation of the work was in English," said Dr. Stoiljkov.

Emphasizing that it is his "huge desire" to transfer the knowledge gained from his specialization to Bar and help his fellow citizens, Dr. Stoiljkov expressed his special gratitude to the director of the General Hospital of Bar, Dr. Dragoslav Tomanović, who approved him to continue his specialization at the VMA, and to English language professor Ranko Opančina from Gymnasium Niko Rolović who, as he pointed out, knows how to transfer knowledge and motivates young people to build on what they have learned "which means a lot to us doctors because of the participation in international congresses".

Marko Stoiljkov graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Niš as the youngest in his class with an average of 9.53. Before his specialization, he spent several months in Brazil studying plastic surgery through a student exchange, and for two years he was in emergency medical care in Bar.
