The statement of the director of Tivat Airport Radovan Marić (HGI) "Big companies would not risk landing on an unsafe runway" is just another confirmation that the data disclosed by the Citizens' Movement (GP) URA about the numerous damage to the runway (runway - PSS) on to that airport, it was announced today from GP URA.
"Instead of answering the question of what was done to repair the damage and irregularities from the Report of the Civil Aviation Agency (ACV), Marić uses cheap demagoguery. As someone for whom aviation is a profession, we regret that between political militarism and benefits, he chose to ignore the profession. Because of this, he will most likely be held criminally responsible with the director of the Airport, Danilo Orlandić," the GP URA points out.
They state that it would be better for Marić if he didn't even advertise because he just denied himself.
As stated by GP URA, they are also preparing documentation for a criminal complaint against the director of the Tivat airport.
"Paradoxical, contradictory, ridiculous and frivolous are the statements of Marić and Orlandić who say that everything is fine, that safety is not threatened, and then they themselves admit that the damage exists, but that it has not spread. Instead of bragging about the information that they repaired the damage , Marić brags to the Montenegrin public that the damage has not spread compared to May 2018. Bearing in mind that it is about air traffic safety, we can classify this kind of Marić's statement in the "believe it or not" column, according to GP URA.
They point out that Marić, like Orlandić, states that they themselves noticed the changes on the runway, but that they have not done anything about it so far and that they are still administratively preparing for rehabilitation.
Because of this, GP URA asked him the following question: "If it only takes ten nights to repair the damage and remove the irregularities from the ACV Report, why didn't you do it in the previous 390 days that have passed since the Agency submitted its findings""
"Marić, just like Danilo Orlandić, obviously does not understand that he does not have a problem with GP URA, but with the Report of the official state institution - the Civil Aviation Agency. In that report, Mr. Marić, more than a year ago, precisely for "touch down" zone towards the threshold of runway 32. the following is stated: As damage and cracks on the surface of the PSS can negatively affect the safety of aircraft operations when using the PSS, the operator of Tivat Airport was asked to carry out activities based on the repair of cracks/damages on the curtain of the pavement structure. in the zone of the point of contact for the threshold 32 PSS, it is necessary to rehabilitate in an appropriate way as soon as possible, since they can directly affect the safe landing of the aircraft and its maneuvering on the PSS of Tivat Airport", said GP URA.
"So, a year ago, the Agency requested that the damages be repaired as soon as possible, and we receive confirmations from directors Orlandić and Marić that they have not been repaired to date, despite the inspection findings, fines and warnings from the Agency. Instead of an answer as to why it was not done director Marić is bragging about some statistical data", according to the GP URA.
That party repeats that they disclosed the document because they have responsibility as a political entity and that they are concerned about the safety and lives of passengers and employees at Tivat Airport.
"We don't even want to think what the consequences would be if any plane flew off the runway (PSS). That is why we once again publicly call on Dragan Đurović, director of the Civil Aviation Agency, to come out under full professional, moral and criminal responsibility and say whether jeopardized the safety of air traffic and safe landing at Tivat Airport's PSS", concludes the announcement of GP URA.
