Tonight, a session of the Operational Headquarters for Protection and Rescue was held in the premises of the Directorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the current meteorological situation and the situation on the ground in municipalities that are at increased risk of flooding were analyzed, said the head of the Operational Headquarters for Protection and Rescue Mirsad Mulić.
"At the meeting, it was noted that the protection and rescue system reacted adequately in the previous days, and what was particularly emphasized was that the citizens mostly followed the recommendations of the competent authorities and services and thus contributed to maintaining a stable situation on the ground. Bearing in mind that an additional worsening of meteorological conditions is expected from tonight, the Operational Headquarters for Protection and Rescue and on this occasion appeals to citizens, especially in the area of municipalities with an increased risk of flooding, to take additional measures and actions in terms of protecting their movable and immovable property. on animal owners to pay attention to their care," Mulić said.
All entities in the protection and rescue system are on standby and are ready to act in accordance with their competences, and according to the development of the situation on the ground.
"The operational headquarters for protection and rescue calls on citizens to respect the recommendations of competent authorities and services and treat them responsibly and in this way contribute to reducing the possible consequences of floods," Mulić said.
