Metropolitan Amfilohije of the Montenegrin Coast sent a congratulatory message to the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, on the occasion of July 13 - the Statehood Day of Montenegro, the president's office announced.

"Thanking you for the invitation to the reception on the occasion of marking a great and significant date for our country - the day of international recognition of the Principality of Montenegro and the national uprising against Nazism - July 13. We congratulate you on the holiday, wishing that God will strengthen our people and bless Montenegro so that we all persevere together on the path followed by Prince Nikola, who fought for international recognition of independence by fighting against the age-old occupier and the insurgents who rose up against the Nazi ideology of evil and suffering. We regret that we cannot personally attend the reception, for reasons well known to you," the congratulation reads.
