Đukić: July 13 unites all the entities that make up Montenegrin civil society

National Day, July 13, is the biggest national holiday, because it unites all our entities, which make up the Montenegrin civil society. This date always reminds us that national harmony and unity should be above all division and dissension, said, among other things, the president of the Kolašin Municipal Assembly (SO) Milana Đukić, congratulating the citizens of Kolašin and Montenegro on Statehood Day.

The history of July 13, he says, reminds us how the Montenegrin people took their destiny into their own hands and stood shoulder to shoulder with the greatest nations of Europe and the world.

Anti-fascism and the popular uprising throughout Montenegro on July 13, 1941, Đukić recalls, "showed the Europe of that time that there are no big and small nations, but only brave and determined ones, as opposed to those who turned a blind eye to fascist terror."

"History has also shown that Montenegrin courage and determination at that time was crucial in the restoration of Montenegrin statehood. Due to the outstanding historical heritage in the fight against fascism, our path to developed Europe should be a path of pride and dignity because of the sacrifices we made as a people in the fight for freedom", concludes the president of SO Kolašin.
