The municipality of Pljevlja will buy 2,44 percent of the ownership of the liquidated Forestry Company in the "Ada" Sports Hall at a price of six and a half thousand euros, which the opposition sees as an example of bad management of citizens' money.
The nominal value of those shares is around 160.000 euros.
The municipality previously withdrew the decision on the purchase of shares after the Forestry Company was liquidated and deleted from the Central Register of Business Entities, as reported by "Vijesti".
The purchase contract will be signed by the president of the municipality of Pljevlja, Igor Golubović, with the former manager of the Forestry Company, Radojica Grba, who was appointed by the court as the representative of the bankruptcy estate.
In the explanation of the decision, it is stated that the president of the municipality believes that it is in the interest of the Municipality considering the offered price and that the Municipality of Pljevlja is one of the founders of the Sports Center "Ada" with a founding stake of 10,45 percent.
Member of the Democratic People's Party Vladislav Bojović says that this example best shows how the Municipality manages the money of the citizens of Pljevlja.
"I don't see what interest the Municipality will have in increasing its ownership share from ten to 12,5 percent. Someone will say that 6,5 thousand is little, but we know very well how our citizens live and how much help they need. For that money, lighting could be done in a street, to help someone. The municipality decided to help the bankruptcy trustee, and we all know that the bankruptcy trustees greased their mustaches well through the process of predatory privatization. The bankruptcy trustee will have the only financial benefit from these 6,5 thousand euros," said Bojović.
He believes that it was logical for the share of the Forestry Enterprise to be bought by the Government, which is the majority owner of the hall, which, as he said, is most responsible for the destruction of the Forestry Enterprise.
Nova Councilor Milan Lekić also believes that the Municipality has no interest in buying the share in the "Ada" sports hall.
"The municipality had an obligation to inform the citizens where the 6,5 thousand euros will end up, how much they will pay for this store, given that the bankruptcy has ended and the company has been liquidated. The municipality is buying shares in a company in which, according to my information, the financial situation is bad," said Lekić.
The former president of the municipality, Mirko Đačić, said earlier that the municipality is buying the forestry company's share in "Ada" in order to sell it to the Ministry of Finance together with the municipality's ownership share in the sports hall.
Đačić said that he will invest the money from the sale in establishing a guarantee fund to help small and medium-sized enterprises and farmers. The municipality previously bought about 1.700 square meters of former residential and commercial buildings in the villages of Meljak, Potkrajci, Bobovo, Kosanica and Poblaće from the Forestry Company.
In addition to residential and commercial buildings that are in a neglected state, the Municipality also bought 11,5 thousand square meters of pasture and 7,64 thousand square meters of forest of the third and fourth category.
All this was bought by the Municipality at a price of 35,5 thousand euros.
The local administration explained that earlier the Forestry Company submitted a decision in which it was emphasized that one of the conditions for concluding bankruptcy in that company is the sale of real estate, i.e. the so-called forest manipulations in the locations of Vrulja, Meljak, Poblaće, Bobovo and Kosanica. .
The value of real estate owned by the Forestry Company in 2007 was estimated at over 450.000 euros.
