Environmental activists of the group SOS for Montenegro presented their campaign against the drilling of the Adriatic in search of oil to the diaspora, at the round table "Investment potentials and business zones of Montenegro" and that was outside the agenda. After the President of the Municipality of Bar Dušan Raičević greeted the participants of this gathering as part of the manifestation "Days of the Diaspora - Expatriates" in the Castle of King Nikola, the activists of "SOS for Montenegro" Mirsad - Mirza Kurgaš and Bobana Pančić came forward to the visibly surprised participants with a spread banner "STOP Adriatic drilling".
While apologizing for such a gesture, among other things, Kurgaš told the emigrants' representatives that these days "the flora and fauna of our Adriatic are being intensively destroyed due to the exploration of potential oil and gas deposits", judging that it is a "crime against the ecological state of Montenegro".
His words were met with applause of support from part of the audience in the hall, after which the security guards interrupted the activists' performance and asked them to leave the hall, which Kurgaš and Pančić immediately did.
On the same occasion, SOS za Montenegro activists held a protest rally and walk through the city center in Bar last Saturday, which were supported by activists of civil initiatives and movements "Save Sinjajevina", "Neću da idem", "Nesvrstani", "Odupri se" and "Ozone". ”, sport fishermen and bar cypress trees.
