The President of the Government of Montenegro, Duško Marković, congratulated the President of the Municipality Anela Čekić, the President of the Municipal Assembly Dženan Radončić, councilors in the local parliament and citizens on August 5, the Day of the Municipality of Gusinje.
"Montenegro has never been more respected in the international community, nor has it had dynamic economic growth like in the last two years. The effects of such achievements and government policies are also felt by the north of Montenegro, and they are particularly reflected in the fact that by the end of the year, counting since the beginning of the mandate of this government, investments in the northern region have exceeded one billion euros," says Marković's congratulatory message.
In the congratulatory message, it is added that, aware that strengthening the transport infrastructure is a prerequisite for overall economic development, more than 11 million euros are being invested in the reconstruction of the Dinoša-Cijevna Zatrijebacka road, which will be part of the modern Podgorica-Gusinje road via Albania.
Marković is convinced that the relationship towards the municipality of Gusinje is confirmed by the realized investments from the capital budget as well as those that in the period ahead relate to the construction and modernization of local infrastructure and create preconditions for the development of tourism and productive capacities in agriculture.
"The municipal holiday is an opportunity for me to congratulate the citizens and announce that we highly value the patriotic attitude of our diaspora to whom Gusinje is the birthplace. No less, we value the contribution of all the citizens of Gusinje to the preservation of the multi-ethnic and multi-religious nature of Montenegro, of which we are proud," the congratulatory message states.
