The Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro, Lt. Col. Ljubinko Petić and the Commander of the Mixed Squadron, Major Bojan Popadić, laid a wreath today at the memorial in Dobreč Bay, where three members of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro tragically died eight years ago, Lt. Col. Belhadin Šahbaz, Major Ivan Obradović and senior sergeant XNUMXst class Vidoje Tomić.
The commemoration of the eighth anniversary in Dobreč Bay was attended by family members of the fallen airmen, members of the Montenegrin Army and the Ministry of Defense.
The Air Force Command said that they were extremely proud to be in the same plane with Belhadin, Ivan and Vidoj.
"We are extremely sad that they are no longer with us. Dear colleagues, eternal glory and thanks be to you", they stated.
Three crew members were killed during a regular training task, when the Gazelle SA341 helicopter crashed into a rock 10 meters from the sea, between the beaches of Dobreč and Žanjica on the Luštica peninsula.
