The Podgorica Rotary Club, on the occasion of marking 113 years of Rotarianism in the world and in the year in which it marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the first Rotary Club in Montenegro, the Podgorica Rotary Club, organized a humanitarian concert by the KIC POP CHOIR at the "Budo Tomović" KIC.
Donations collected on this occasion are directed to the Resource Center for Children and Youth "Podgorica", to equip a special room for the accommodation and stay of children and parents, who come from other cities of Montenegro for treatment in the early intervention program.
"Most value fairness. Most believe they have it. But there is an important difference between knowing the path and walking that path. That path is not easy, but members of the Rotary community are expected to have the courage and determination to value the principles we believe in. By sharing our knowledge, we can make the lives of the people around us better. The Rotary Club is made up of a group of professionals from different fields, gathered around the same goal. When such people with a big heart and an open mind offer to serve the community, the acceptance of Rotary in society becomes deeper. The question is, can we should we start an accelerated process of renewing enthusiasm for ethical standards in society and Rotary itself? I believe that our club is on that path and that we are ready to deal with all the challenges of today's times," emphasized the president of the Podgorica Rotary Club, Milena Durutović.
The Director of the Educational Institution of the Resource Center Podgorica, Mirjana Popović, introduced the participants to the work of this institution and the purpose of the action. Popović thanked the Podgorica Rotary Club for the care and support that this club has been providing since its foundation.
For the support in the humanitarian actions of the Rotary Club Podgorica, on this occasion certificates of appreciation were awarded to the friends of the club, namely: Elektroprivreda Montenegro, Mediteran University Podgorica, Company Doding doo Podgorica, MAMA International, Archimed doo, Copy Center - Podgorica, as well as photographer Sav Prelevic, with with the desire to do good things together in the future.
