By planting 410 young trees of various coniferous and deciduous species, in several locations in the city and its surroundings, Berane joined the action 28 years after the adoption of the Declaration on the Ecological State of Montenegro.

The head of the department for environmental protection in the Municipality of Berane, Rita Barjaktarović, said that the reason for marking this day was given by nature itself.

"Through activities like this, in which we have good cooperation with schools and young people, we can show the citizens that only through a joint partnership of public administration, schools and the NGO sector can we do something more, to improve the state of the environment, beautify our city, which is what we did today ", said Barjaktarović.
