An increase in wages by 25 percent, housing loans like the one Minister Damir Šehović received, are just some of the demands that the educators sent to the authorities during today's protest.
The educators invited representatives of the Sinidkat to the protest, but no one responded.
Colleagues from numerous municipalities in the north and south came to the protest in front of the Ministry of Education.
"It is quite enough for us to publicly raise awareness of what has been pressing us for twenty years. The union was invited to participate actively, but there is no one from the headquarters with us today," said Krsto Vuković from the Educational Community, which is the organizer of today's protest.
He said that for years they received promises from all the representatives who form the educational policy to listen to their proposals for solving the accumulated problems in the "slightly sick educational system of Montenegro", but until today they have not received any answers.
If their demands are not met, Vuković announced that he will inform the media, embassies and the EU Delegation about everything on a daily basis.
"It's not normal that when recruiting graduates to schools, the first word is relationship," said Vuković.
With the educators today are members of the Organization KOD Srđan Perić and Budislav Minić, representatives of the Civic Movement URA Zoran Mikić and Bojan Jevrić, Mirza Krnić from KOD, representatives of GI "Sačuvajmo Sinjajevina", Željka Savković from the coordination committee of benefit beneficiaries with three or more children. ..
They ask the authorities to make an urgent decision on the payment of compensation for transportation, to increase the amount of the jubilee award by 200 percent, to urgently form a committee to reduce the administrative obligations of teachers, and to introduce the status of an official for educators before the adoption of the Branch Collective Agreement.
In the list of about twenty demands, they asked for the return of general education subjects to the previous level of representation, for logic to be a compulsory subject in high schools, ethics in all majors, civic education compulsory and chess an optional subject in primary schools.
They also demanded an urgent revision of the school textbooks, to change the rulebook for higher titles, the rulebook for the awarding of awards to educators and students...
They expect the authorities to declare their requests by October 4. Only for the increase of salaries and other incomes, the educators demand immediate admission by October 1 at the latest and state that then they would explain the concept of budgetary possibilities and concrete solutions.
