"A gram of practice is worth more than a ton of talk," Gandhi said. The Glendž family, which is originally from Montenegro, seems to be guided by this maxim. They don't want to talk about their humanity, but it is measured not in grams, but in tons. These days, the Red Cross of Montenegro is handing out help provided by the Glendža family to socially vulnerable families. It is about food and hygiene items that will be given to 2.000 families in Montenegro, and the municipal organization of the Nikšić Red Cross distributed a donation intended for socially vulnerable families from Nikšić.
"A hundred of the most vulnerable families received help. The aid consists of hygiene packages and food, flour, oil, potatoes", said the Red Cross.
The representative of the Glendža family, Ivan Grdinić, said that although the family is originally from Cetinje, they are not citizens of Montenegro, but they have a need to help the people where they came from.
"This is already the third help of this type that this family has shared. Along with this donation, around 6.000 families have received help so far, and over 300 tons of aid have been distributed. I would like to thank the Red Cross and the volunteers who help us distribute that aid," Grdinić said.
The Glendža family lives in Berlin and has been helping for years. In addition to the aforementioned aid, they also help individuals, they pay for meals to the most vulnerable through the National Kitchen of the Metropolis of Montenegro and the Coast in Cetinje, they donated to the "Youth" Home in Bijela, they also helped during the floods that hit Montenegro and Serbia.
"Although they are not citizens of Montenegro and were not even born in Montenegro, even their grandfather did not have Montenegrin citizenship, they are so attached to the land of their ancestors and have a need to help the people from here. They hope that others will follow their example and help as much as they can," Grdinić said.
