The tender documentation for the construction of the sewage network for the settlements that gravitate to Port Mileni, Kodre, Totoši, Bijela Gora and Donja Bratica will be forwarded to the European Investment Bank for approval by tomorrow at the latest - it was confirmed by News from the office of the President of the Municipality Nazif Cungu.
Thus, the implementation of the project worth 5 million euros, which has been on the "stand by" for two and a half years, will finally begin, since the Ulcinj parliament adopted the decision on the loan.
Cungu said that it is an investment of historical importance for the city.
"Not only will we solve the problem of sewerage for four settlements, but with the implementation of the project, 50 percent of the problem of spilling waste water and feces in Port Milen will be solved," said Cungu to "Vijesta".
He clarified that on June 1, 6, the European Investment Bank approved the tender documentation for the works and the supervision of the execution of the works.
"However, due to the non-publication of the tender for more than a year, the EIB must be informed again and declare about the tender documentation. We have no dilemma as to whether we will get the green light," Cungu said.
He added "that this time nothing can prevent or slow down the realization of the project, because the expropriation has already been carried out along the entire route of the network".
He expects that the EIB will approve the tender documentation by March 25 at the latest.
"Until March 29, we will publish the tender in the official gazette of the EU, which will last 15 days. After that, the international tender will be officially published for 45 days. I expect that we will open the bids on June 30st, and sign the contract with the best bidder on July 1 , who will have the obligation to start preparatory work on the project already on August XNUMX," Cungu said.
The end of work on the project, according to the planned dynamics, is scheduled for June 15, 2019. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, Procon and the Municipality of Ulcinj signed a loan agreement for 5 million euros last year, but the tender was not announced for several reasons. , primarily because of problems with expropriation. The Real Estate Administration, regional unit Ulcinj fully implemented the procedure of incomplete expropriation and issued a decision at the beginning of last year.
Seven citizens filed complaints against that decision, which were forwarded to the Ministry of Finance for further action.
