There are several active fires in the area of the Kolašina municipality, but as the Protection Service says, they are keeping the fire under control in all those locations. During the day, Trunića Dol, Crkvine, Gornja Morača, Babljak were burning... So far, the fires have not caused material damage, but firefighters were constantly on the ground.
"One team defended Med Bojić's house and buildings in Trunić Dol. In Crkvine, we defended Drljević's house as well as other buildings in that weekend settlement. We also intervened in Gornja Morača and Babljak. The fire also reactivated in Suva Gora, in a completely different part of the municipality, whom we also have to monitor," said the commander of the Protection Service, Željko Darmanović.
From that service, they appealed to the locals to inform about the fires as soon as possible, but also to put them out themselves when they are in the initial phase. That would, explains Darmanović. helped and relieved the members of the Protection Service, who "cover" almost 900 square kilometers of the municipality of Kolasin.
