The non-governmental organization (NGO) Euromost from Bijelo Polje announced that a new environmental incident was discovered on Lim today - the appearance of a huge black spot.
As they claim, the huge black spot is located in the Industrial Zone.

That NGO announced earlier that it had noted a new release of white liquid into the Lim River.
"Despite mass poisoning of fish, reported several times, activists of the non-governmental organization Euromost, today with a drone live via the Facebook page in the same place and the same pipe, again recorded the discharge of white liquid into Lim. Today we started to record all the recordings live in the future also during the recording to invite all inspections. Through today's action, we invited through the recording of the water inspector Dragan Šekularac, to whom we reported the case, so on this link and the recording you can hear what he answered and what they did," said Euromost.
They stated that, before the recording, they told Šekularac that the recording was public via the Facebook page of the NGO Northern Montenegro.
"Today we also reported the whole case to the communal police of the municipality of Bijelo Polje, informed the Sports Fishing Association "Sinjavac", who proceeded with other inspections and took further steps within their competences. Today we agreed on this action, based on the fishermen's reports from 19.10.2019. In XNUMX, when we were informed in the early hours of the morning that white foam had appeared on Lima in the town of Kumanica, where they also sent us photos showing white foam, which is why the NGO Euromost strengthened the control of Lima with its activists, in places where we suspected that the same thing was happening from the same pipe, the release of a white unknown liquid," said Euromost.

They said that they want to tell everyone again that they will not give up on protecting Lim and that, as they promised, they will protect Lim from the land, from the air, and from the river.
"Lim is currently in such a state that due to the low water level and the large number of sewage pipes, which are located mostly in the city part, it can lead to an epidemic of infection, which is the reason that we have personally informed the president of the municipality of Bijelo Polje, Petar Smolović, as and all municipal services. Every pipe hangs because of the low water level and all the sewerage remains on the coast, especially near populated areas, where an unbearable smell can be felt," said Euromost.
The NGO said that according to their information, there are as many as 5.000 sewage overflows in Lim, where, as they add, most of them are in the city part, which, due to the low water level and the current weather, can lead to large-scale infections in the municipality of Bijelo Polje and its population.
"Therefore, an appeal to both municipal and state institutions, take action to prevent an epidemic on a wider scale, see what needs to be done and whether this kind of situation can lead to an infection," concludes the statement of Euromost.
