Members of the Protection and Rescue Service were engaged until midnight in the action to clean up the consequences of the storm that hit the Old Town the most.
Large waves practically destroyed the terraces on the beach of Brijeg od Budva (Ričardova glava) and the water penetrated through the doors into the Old Town.
Firefighters closed two doors to the Old Town beach last night and placed sandbags.
The head of the Protection and Rescue Service, Dragan Božović, said that the firefighters were on the ground until late last night.
He states that they only intervened in the Old Town, where sandbags were delivered and the exits to the beach were blocked.

He said that all preventive measures are being taken due to the announcement of a storm and a red weather alert.
The measures were taken in order not to repeat the unpleasant scenes from two years ago when the Old Town practically floated, and the water penetrated and paralyzed the interior of the city, which is why there was a state of emergency and almost all municipal services were on their feet.
Luka Vučković, a member of the Local Community Council of the Old Town, said that last night, after the water started entering the Old Town, they called the Municipal Company and the director of Rada Bauk immediately sent workers to the scene.
He said that they then called the Protection and Rescue Service, whose members came.
"We thank everyone for their quick action. Director Bauk and Chief Božović reacted immediately. A truck with sand was delivered, the bags were placed, the water was removed with pumps, so the situation is stable".
