Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković, director of the Clinical Center Jevto Eraković and American Ambassador Judi Rajnake today officially opened the reconstructed intensive care unit of the Institute for Children's Diseases.
"Unfortunately, after three decades, the biggest investment in this Institute. I want to say that the Clinical Center, as a significant institution in Montenegro, sets an example, not only an example, but also implements concrete steps so that the entire health system is at the level that the state and our citizens need," said Marković.
He pointed out that the Government strongly supports the strengthening of the health system. He added that at yesterday's session of the Government, they established a new budget in which 281 million was allocated to the Health Care Fund.
"It is the biggest health budget ever in Montenegro. Higher by 50 million than in the previous year, and a total of 85 million increased for the last three years, since the beginning of the mandate of this Government", said the Prime Minister. He added that he was particularly happy that the European level of health care services had been provided for children today.
Eraković said that this investment is worth over 600.000 euros.
According to Eraković, it is only one in a series of investments for the purpose of treating children and adults.
"It is important that these investments were accompanied by intensive education of our doctors", said Eraković.
Speaking about the doctors and nurses who work at the Institute for Children's Diseases, he pointed out that they achieve extraordinary results by working day and night and painstakingly.
As part of the Institute for Children's Diseases, there will be an institution worth over one million euros, announced Eraković.
Rajnke said that the reconstruction of the department of the Institute for Children's Diseases is a symbol of what the two countries can become with joint efforts.
"As a parent, I thank you for your selfless commitment to all our families, all our children," she said, addressing employees at the Institute for Children's Diseases.
