Two poachers were caught in the area of Pjac Kurtović two nights ago while illegally catching fish in a metal boat, announced the National Parks of Montenegro (NPCG).
A Yamaha motor, a metal boat, a fuel tank, a fishing probe and a lamp were taken from the poachers.
"When fleeing from the patrol, the poachers threw from their vessel into the lake the equipment they used for illegal fishing: battery, converter, probe, and several pieces of fish. The patrol managed to find the probe from the discarded equipment, while the rest of the equipment sank into the lake," the NPCG press release states.
Control of illegal activities in the protected area was carried out by the NPCG Protection Service in cooperation with the Border Police.
