The public company National Parks of Montenegro (JPNPCG) has been placed on a sound financial basis and has recorded the best business results since its establishment, according to the Trade Union of that company.
The union said that after several media appearances and performances by individuals from the Coalition for Sustainable Development (KOR), they feel a moral obligation and duty to deny "the tendentious statements and untruths they use".
KOR requested the resignation of JPNPCG director Elvira Klica due to the "catastrophic situation in all parks".
"We will insist that all the incorrect statements presented these days and in the past months be presented to the public for the sake of all the employees of the National Parks, their families, but also those who should inherit what we manage today and what we have been entrusted to guard," they said from The trade union.
As they stated, they perceive all individuals and non-governmental organizations as partners in joint work.
"We are available to them at any moment for conversation, presentation of facts, documents and suggestions, the implementation of which we will jointly monitor. However, we have to deny slanderous, tendentious, inaccurate and malicious evaluations, both for our own sake and for the sake of the citizens of Montenegro," said the union.
They pointed to a positive financial balance at the end of last year and this year, which resulted in concrete benefits for the employees and the company.
"JPNPCG is placed on a sound financial basis and records the best business results since its establishment, among other things, due to household operations and fulfillment of all recommendations of the State Audit Institution (DRI) from 2015 and other external audits," the response states.
It is emphasized that more than 400 thousand euros of tax and contribution obligations based on reprogramming and other obligations from an earlier period have been paid.
"More than 600 thousand euros have been invested in basic assets and the development of tourist infrastructure for the past two years, which has never been the case before, a lot has been done to this end and we continue to provide the best material and technical means and improve the conditions for the work of physical protection" , they said from the Trade Union.
They said that the accumulated, numerous problems of the past that hardly anyone wanted to tackle were being solved, and that they would be minimized or eradicated.
During the implementation of the Law on Public Procurement, as indicated by the Trade Union, large savings were made that benefit the household business and the community.
"Illegal work and numerous irregularities during the control and recording of the number of visitors and the collection of tourist services in the National Parks were prevented. The number of visitors to Skadar lake NP in 2017 was 66 for the entire season, and this year 147," the union said.
As they added, the total number of registered visitors at the level of all parks in 2017 was 326, and this season they end with 590 guests, which is an increase of about 80 percent.
The Council said that the cooperation with the competent state institutions regarding the suppression of all illegal activities in the parks has been intensified and that the management of the JPNPCG is determined to eradicate all irregularities.
"Are these the parameters of non-domestic business? Let the citizens of Montenegro judge," the union said.
They said that there are problems facing the JPNPCG, but that they are primarily caused by the irresponsible behavior and activities of individuals in the field.
"We are here, without hesitation, on the side of all those who point out these problems and we have no reservations about presenting them on all our platforms and working together to eradicate them. We accept that and we will always accept it," said the Union.
They assessed the assessment that the situation in NPCG is "catastrophic" as malicious and tendentious.
"We have to stop sensationalistic and unsubstantiated claims, and realize that we are all together on the same task, preserving nature and the universal values of the parks," said the Union.
As they state, the Trade Union in the management of JPNPCG has a reliable and responsible partner and provides them with full support in their further work.
The Union reiterated that they perceive all activities involving the preservation, protection and care of National Parks as a partnership and that they are ready to work together.
"But we will always deny malicious, sensationalist and untrue claims precisely for the sake of the citizens, the common good, our employees and our families," the reaction concludes.
