The seismology sector of the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology registered a stronger earthquake with an epicenter 17.03 kilometers northwest of Tirana, the capital of Albania, at 18:XNUMX p.m.
The strength of the earthquake in the focal point was 4,2 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 5 kilometers.
"Based on the numerical model of the change in intensity with distance in this region, the magnitude of the earthquake and the depth of the hypocenter, this earthquake could have caused some material damage in the epicentral area," the Institute for Hydrometeorology and Seismology announced.
