Radio Television Budva claims that the Agency for Electronic Media blocked tonight's program Problem RTV Budva, in which the rector of the Cetinje seminary Gojko Perović and the head of the Liberal Party Andrija Popović discussed arguments related to the Law on Freedom of Religion.
According to unofficial information, no one informed the cable operators about this, and more than 2.000 citizens watched the show on the Youtube channel of RTV Budva.
The Agency for Electronic Media has officially announced that the incorrect information is that AEM gave an order to turn off the TV Budva signal.
"We hope that the problem due to which the signal was interrupted will soon be resolved and that the local public broadcaster "TV Budva" will be enabled to be available through the signals of the operators in which it has been present so far," announced AEM.
The President of the Council of the Electronic Media Agency, Ranko Vujović, told "Vijesti" that the Agency does not have the technical capabilities to black out a channel by itself.
He said that the signal of Television Budva goes directly to the cable operators, and that the problem is probably of a technical nature.
The portal of that media house reported that the Agency for Electronic Media canceled the television transmission of operators M:tel and Crnogorski Telekom.
"The reason for the interruption of our media company's signal is unknown to us for now, you can watch the show through our website rtvbudva.me as well as on our YouTube channel", according to local TV.
Vujović told "Vijesta" that the Agency had nothing to do with the controversial blacking out of the channel and that RTV Budva's statement was published on their disinformation portal.
Tabas: AEM to determine who is responsible
The director of TV Budva, Rade Tabaš, announced that he demands from AEM to determine who is responsible "for this kind of media darkness".
"Due to the lack of signal on all cable broadcasters in Montenegro, I declare that the same device (video matrix) from which the live stream was sent also sends a video signal to all cable operators, as the director of RTV Budva, I demand that the Agency for Electronic Foods establish who is responsible for this kind of media darkness. We are aware that with our work and professional attitude towards viewers as the only measure of our quality, we never dreamed, let alone thought, that such things could happen in the 21st century. We urgently request that everything be established facts related to such a brutal act of discrediting the media company I am at the head of," said Tabaš.
He also apologized to the guests of tonight's show, and said that he will continue to objectively inform the public and viewers about all important issues.
"Media darkness is not, nor will it ever be, something that we will be guided by, but on the contrary, information and objectivity is something that we will be guided by in our further work. We are looking for an answer," said the statement of the director of TV Budva.
DF: The announcement of media fascism
Democratically condemned, as they claim, the "regime action on the blocking of TV Budva signal" during the debate between Perović and Popović.
"It is obvious that the orders of the Đukanović brothers are being implemented in practice to prevent the citizens from being informed about the liturgies and the views of the Church at all costs. After last night's scandalous show against Metropolitan Amfilohi, which was directed and edited in ANB, and under the baton of the special forces, it is obvious that this media terrorist action is an announcement of media fascism and new threats to basic human rights and freedoms," DF states.
DF, as they add, warns the domestic and international public "that Đukanović has embarked on an open fascism of society and the introduction of a dictatorship and that we must all unite in resisting this sick plan."
They told the citizens not to fall for the new provocations of the media special forces, and that the answer lies in unity and determination "to win this fight" and called on the citizens to come out en masse to the rallies.
