The Kolašina firefighters managed to localize the fire in Crkvine early this morning. The fire threatened to endanger the repeater and to approach the highway. According to the commander of the Protection Service, Željko Darmanović, the fire started on Sunday at 9.30:XNUMX a.m., and was localized in the night between Sunday and Monday.
"It is a large-scale fire that threatened to approach the Adriatic highway near tunnel number 32. We prevented that with two teams. The fire continued to spread from the eastern side and began to approach the repeater in Crkvine. That's when the multi-hour battle with the fire element began, in order to preserve the expensive technology and equipment of the repeater, on which the functioning of some mobile operators depends. "The fire was localized at two past midnight on Monday," he said.

Firefighters are still monitoring the terrain in Crkvine today, because they are afraid that the wind will "bring" the fire back to the repeater. Darmanović says that they cannot fully extinguish the fire, "because it is moving frontally over a large area and inaccessible terrain".
