On Tabija in Sutomore, a 19th-century cultural heritage site that was restored after a tricolor was painted on it last week, an offensive sign calling for violence appeared.
"Serbs on the willows" is written on the walls, judging by the photo sent to "Vijesti" by a reader.
The Ministry of Culture condemned, as they said, a new case of vandalism. However, in that government department, they believe that behind the sign are the same people who painted the tricolor on the walls last week.
"Just like the first time, when the sign of the current protests regarding the Law on Freedom of Religion dawned on Tabija, the handwriting is again clear and the same - where the authors did not even bother to change the location. Unlike earlier manifestations of "brotherly love" - such as burning and the tearing of the flag of Montenegro - this time, however, the aim is to show the alleged endangerment of a part of the population of our country. Whether there are any endangered and whether anyone's rights have been violated, is best told by the full freedom of expressing protests on the streets of Montenegro, which last longer of two months. For this reason, we appeal to the citizens not to fall for the provocations, served from the same address as those about the alleged breaking up of the protest by the army, prisoners and fan groups. This time, too, the professional services will react as soon as possible and remove the damage on Tabija," the Ministry of Culture announced.
The Municipality of Bar announced that it was an unacceptable message of hate speech.
"Why the Tabija fortress was recognized as a location for vandalism remains unknown, however, we again express the strongest condemnation for the desecration of the fortress, which is protected by law, and writing messages that violate understanding, inter-religious and inter-ethnic harmony, which are the permanent values of Bar and its inhabitants," it states. in the statement.

As they said, the Municipality of Bar will respond as soon as possible this time, in cooperation with the communal services and the Center for Conservation and Archaeology, in order to work on urgent rehabilitation measures and removal of traces of paint, which would return the walls to their previous state.
"Thus, the services of the city and the state will show their determination to persevere on the path of protecting the cultural and historical heritage and be consistent in the implementation of their competences, despite the continuous, unconscionable actions of individuals. Also, in cooperation with the Bar Security Center, we will determine whether there is a need for additional engagement officers of the police and the Municipal Police who would protect Tabija from the attacks of unaware individuals who cause damage to the fortress, the city and the entire society. And for this case, a criminal complaint was filed against an unidentified person for the criminal act of devastation of cultural property. We hereby appeal to everyone to refrain from expressions in this and similar ways", announced from the Municipality of Bar.
Five days ago, on February 20, the Ministry condemned the devastation of Tabija, after the tricolor was painted on it.

The tricolor then covered the green graffiti, on which there was a sign - '19. which may mean it was painted last year.

The Ministry previously announced that a criminal complaint was filed against an unidentified person for the criminal act of devastation of cultural property due to the painting of the tricolor.
