The Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Fund support the pharmacy institution "Montefarm", which should remain active in supplying citizens and health institutions with medicines.
This was evaluated at the meeting of the Minister of Health Kenan Hrapović and the director of the Health Insurance Fund Sead Čirgić with the management of "Montefarm" and managers of state pharmacies.
Hrapović and Čirgić, speaking about the status of "Montefarm", expressed their support for that institution, which is "one of the pillars of the health system of Montenegro".
It was announced from "Montefarm" that Hrapović and Čirgić emphasized that it is important to find the best solution for that institution to continue to be an active participant in supplying citizens and health institutions with medicines.
"Significant attention has been paid to the introduction of electronic prescriptions, which greatly simplify the procedure for issuing medicines. Electronic prescriptions are already in circulation, although paper ones are still in use," reads the announcement of Montefarma.
"Montefarm" said that the meeting discussed the basic and supplementary list of medicines, which will come into effect on March 1.
"The Minister of Health also answered questions about the way state pharmacies work and operate. At the meeting, it was pointed out that the introduction of new technologies and modern solutions will further improve patient care...", the announcement concludes.
