Duško Knežević, a businessman who is wanted by the state and the owner of the Atlas Group, said that he had already informally received an offer through an intermediary, presented by the chief special prosecutor (SDT) Milivoje Katnić, that he would not be arrested if he returned to Montenegro, where he would be tried with the legal defense he chooses, TV A1 broadcasts.
"They are trying to calm me down and stop my activities, especially political ones, because they saw after Tivat my political influence," said Knežević.
He pointed out that even if he accepts Katnić's offer, it is a very complicated process, which would entail special security measures and an international agreement between Montenegro and Great Britain, where he is being extradited.
"I believe that Milo Đukanović is in a big panic, as soon as they offered it to me. That is not realistic at this moment because I have prepared a lot of evidence that should be presented against the very top and Milo Đukanović," said Knežević.
He added that his arrival in Montenegro would be a great danger for him, because in his speeches he often mentions criminal groups that are connected to the regime.
Knežević added that he will continue to present evidence against the regime.
