The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral is ready to immediately offer the boarding school building of the Saint Petar Cetinje Theological Seminary in Cetinje to the people and society in the fight against the corona virus epidemic if there is a need for it, said the rector of the Cetinje Theological Seminary Fr. Gojko Perović.
He emphasized for "Dan" that all other questions about possible cooperation would have to be resolved in direct communication between the Church and the Government, if a justified need arises.
"What we certainly have at our disposal now, which seems to us to be functional and which we can immediately offer, if there is a need for it, is the boarding school building of the seminary, which is located in the city center of Cetinje and is close to Danilo Prvi hospital," Perović said. .
He explained that the boarding school building has accommodation capacity for 50 or more people, and students stay in it when the school is open.
"As for other topics related to the cooperation of the state and the Church on this issue, the Church is not competent to assess in what way it could help the state and society, so we could and should solve all other questions about possible cooperation immediately, internal communication between the Church and the Government, when and if there is a justified need for it," said Perović.
