The journalist of Television Vijesti, Marko Mišić, announced that on March 19, when he arranged with her and then recorded the statement, Marina Medojević did not inform him that she had been ordered to self-isolate.
The Police Directorate announced that Marina Medojević left the address to make a statement to the media.
"Knowing that Mrs. Medojević through the NGO Food Bank has been working hard for the poor for years, where institutions do not work or where they do not work enough, we invited her on Thursday, March 19, for a short statement about the impact of the measures to fight against the coronavirus on social cases and in general on the poor in Montenegro. Mrs. Medojević agreed to give us a statement on camera (as she did many times before), but, as it will turn out later, she kept silent about the fact that she is under isolation measures," he pointed out. A muscle.
The attachment in which Marina Medojević made a statement to Mišić:
Mišić added that he and the videographer came in front of her building by agreement, as a precaution with masks and gloves, as for any other interlocutor in this situation.
"We had two more statements agreed upon for that report. We recorded Ms. Medojević's statement, trying to keep as much distance as possible. Ms. Medojević did not say that she was under isolation measures either then, that is, before, during, or after the statement, which potentially put journalists and cameramen in danger, but also indirectly all other employees of TV Vijesta. If we had known that the lady was under isolation measures, we would not have come to record her statement on camera, but would have called her by phone from the newsroom and recorded a phone statement or possibly a statement via Skype or Viber," said Mišić.
He said the effect would be the same.
"Mrs. Medojević would have sent the main messages she wanted to send - to help the poor, she would not have come out of isolation, and we would not have exposed ourselves to unnecessary risk of the virus. This unpleasant situation should make us all imagine that we always and without exception respect the rules, that the rule of law means that the laws must be respected and that everyone is the same before the law and that responsibility must be maximal both in the regular and in this current, even state of emergency," Mišić said.
