In anticipation of World Otter Day, the "Living Green" association is organizing a "Draw an Otter" contest for children.
It is necessary for the children to draw an otter and its habitat, and for the parents to send the first and last name, the year of the child who drew the drawing, as well as the residential address to the e-mail address livinggreen@living-green.me.
"You can send the drawing by scanning it or photographing it with a camera or mobile phone," said Ninoslav Đurović from NVU "Living Green".
Every drawing that is sent participates in the competition, and the prizes are a t-shirt, a cap and a badge.
The competition is divided into five categories - for children up to five years old, children aged 6-7, children aged 8-9, 10-11 years old and 12-14 years old.
NVU "Living Green - Civjeti zeleno" will publish the best works, by category, on its website living-green.me/zapazi-vidru-o-vidri, and send the prizes by post to the winners' addresses.
"The goal of the competition is the promotion and protection of the otter and its habitat in Montenegro. Draw from home and participate," said the NGO "LivingGreen - Živjeti zeleno".
World Otter Day is celebrated on May 27.
The otter is a protected and endangered species in Europe, it is considered a symbol of clean habitats and is also on the coat of arms of the Berne Convention.
In Montenegro, the otter is protected by law.
