The snow-covered road from Mateševo to Andrijevica, via Trešnjevik, has not been cleaned for a month and a half, although there is more than half a meter of white covering on that section.
This is claimed by the residents of the Andrijevic villages of Kralja and Bara Kraljske, who told "Vijesta" that the road was better maintained in the XNUMXs, when snow drifts were cleared with horses and trains.
The President of the Kralje Local Community, Milutin Đurković, said that the condition on that part of the road is like it was in the XNUMXth century.
Director of the Traffic Directorate Savo Parača told "Vijesta" that the cleaning of that section was entrusted to the company Crnagoraput and that he had no information that the pass was not cleaned.
Crnagoraput asked that the questions be sent to them by email, but even after that they did not respond. The president of Andrijevica Municipality, Srđan Mašović, did not respond to calls or text messages.
"We asked the Municipality to help us, but it's the same, futile story every year. They are not responsible - according to the agreement, they clean up to the first bend in Trešnjevik, and this part above is the responsibility of Crnagoraput. That road was cleaned with shovels when there were no machines, and now, in the 21st century, they don't clean it," said Đurković.
He added that, aside from the main road through Platije, it is the only road to the northeastern part of Montenegro:
"It is not cleaned and maintained, it is abnormal and a big problem. When something happens, we have to go around via Beran, Ribarevin, Mojkovac, Kolašin and cross a hundred kilometers to get to relatives in Bare Kraljske".
Đurković points out that in the past few days, several people who were going to Komi got stuck in the snow and were rescued:
"It's a problem that worries the residents of MZ Kralja and Bara Kraljska, Mateševo and everyone from that part".
Mikša Ćulafić from Andrijev told "Vijesta" that no one pays attention to Trešnjevik, neither the local administration nor the state.
"They turn their heads on us when they need to extract the forest or when powerful people in Podgorica need it. We addressed the President of the Municipality and the former Prime Minister (Milo Đukanović) several times, but they did not understand. It is incomprehensible that the Municipality does not have the means to clean four or five kilometers of road, and we have modern machinery. We are outraged. We know that there is a tender for the maintenance of that road, and Žarko Barjaktarević got the money for it, but no one asks him why the road is not passable", he said.
He added that it is precisely because of this attitude of the state that the inhabitants of the northern region are leaving their hearths.
Vladeta Ćulafić from Andrijevic Mountaineering Club Kom said that the Trešnjevik mountain pass is extremely important for the development of mountain tourism in Andrijevica.
"Komovi is a favorite place of all Montenegrins and mountaineers from the surrounding area. On that mountain, most of us train and prepare for expeditions, this winter we are denied access to the mountain, because the authorities will not clear the section through Trešnjevik. Such attitude of the state towards the road, which was once the only connection between the north and Podgorica, is frivolous and irresponsible", said Vladeta Ćulafić.
