At the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) of the University of Montenegro (UCG), a special challenge in distance learning is practical teaching, especially at a time when measures to prevent the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 virus are in force.
The vice-dean for teaching at this faculty, Vesna Simović - Zvicer, cites as an example the Media Studies and Journalism study program, where this problem is solved by electronic communication.
She said that students work from home and interview interlocutors via e-mail, Viber, Skype, Facebook and other communication channels.
"The media have agreed to this way of working: Pobjeda, Dan, portals RTCG, Antena M, Kolektiv, Standard and Volim Podgorica. Practical teaching in other study programs will be organized by creating practical tasks and in electronic form, based on the guidelines that students will receive from professors. ", pointed out Simović-Zvicer.
Students of this faculty, she says, have already published their first stories, which are available on Montenegrin portals.
Teaching at FPN is organized based on the recommendations of the UCG Rectorate.
"The largest number of professors and associates decided to organize classes by posting materials on the official website of the University of Montenegro," said Simović-Zvicer.
Professors and associates, she states, in order to ensure continuity in the teaching process have continuous communication with students.
"Students are informed about classes through the website, the subject teacher's and associates' emails, and in most cases through Viber and Facebook groups," explained Simović-Zvicer.
According to her, for professors who need technical support for uploading materials on the website, as in the previous period, support is provided by employees of the Faculty's student service.
