The DPS and SD councilors, who exercise power in Nikšić, unanimously adopted the proposal that the national hero Čedomir Ljubo Čupić should receive a monument in the city square.
The initiative was submitted by the company Mehanizacija i programat, which will also maintain the monument, and the construction is financed, as Vijesti previously reported, by the president of the Board of Directors of the aforementioned company, Dušan Đurović.
The councilors also unanimously adopted the other items on the agenda, so Nikšić will get the "East" business zone, which will include 72,4 hectares of land in the region of Željezara and settlements in its immediate vicinity.
According to the manager of the Municipality Živko Kecojević, the Development Plan and the decision to declare a business zone create the conditions to call for a public tender and offer the land to potential investors who will be able to use certain benefits, which will lead to the creation of new jobs.
At the session, a decision was also adopted on the introduction of bankruptcy in DOO "Budos", which manages the sanitary landfill, because the construction of a regional sanitary landfill is planned.
