The medical aid contingent left for Montenegro on a Turkish military plane.
The office of President Milo Đukanović announced last night that it was a donation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"It is about 50.000 medical masks, 1.000 protective suits and 1.000 tests. Turkey previously donated 1.000 tests, aid in the transport of the same amount from China and provided the transport of Montenegrin citizens from that friendly country," the president's office announced earlier.
As stated, the military plane will also deliver aid to other countries of the Western Balkans, and the ambassador of Turkey Songul Ozan, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Cabinet of the President of Montenegro will be at the reception.
"Montenegro and Turkey together in the fight against Covid-19. Thank you to President Erdogan and the Embassy of Turkey in Montenegro", it is stated on the Twitter account of the President of Montenegro.
