The Municipal Protection and Rescue Team of the Municipality of Berana, in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, adopted a temporary measure prohibiting the use of the memorial park in Jasikovac, as well as four city parks (Cvetni park, the park next to the Temple, the large park next to Lim and the park in MZ Stari grad ).
It is also prohibited to use the airport runway for the purpose of recreation and sports, as well as the prohibition of traffic for motor vehicles in this area, announced the Municipality of Berane.
"Given that at the fifth session of the Municipal Team, it was established that social distance is not respected in most cases, except during the ban on movement, then for this reason an order was made not to use the area of the Beran airport for the aforementioned purposes," it is stated. in the announcement.
As they explain, an additional reason for such a decision is that in the coming period, if the need arises, the mentioned area will be used by special planes when extinguishing fires in inaccessible parts of our municipality that cannot be reached by the vehicles of the Protection and Rescue Service of the Municipality of Berane.
"With these measures, we want to highlight how important it is, at this moment, for our citizens to stay at home and stay safe," the announcement states.
These measures, as they said, are valid from tomorrow until the end of the Order of the Government of Montenegro.
"Failure to comply with the measures of the Order of the Government of Montenegro is subject to criminal responsibility in accordance with Articles 287 and 302 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro. Once again, we appeal to citizens to comply with the Order in order to minimize the possibility of the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 virus," he states. in the announcement.
They reminded that to date, according to information from the Institute for Public Health of Montenegro and Berane General Hospital, no case of coronavirus has been registered in Berane.
