The Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) rejected as unfounded the criminal complaint that citizens filed last year against Tivat Mayor Siniša Kusovac (DPS) and t party councilor Dejan Sekulić due to the controversial allocation of a housing loan to Kusovac from the municipal budget.

"There is no well-founded suspicion that the appointed persons committed the reported criminal offense of abuse of official position, nor any other offense for which the SDT is competent," the prosecution's decision reads.
The SDT stated that the report against Kusovac and Sekuliić for the criminal offense was negligent work in the service of the competent Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor. This means that because of everything, "the car could break down" only on Sekulić, because his actions as the president of the Komsia, which gave the mayor a loan, are disputed.
Kusovac and Sekulić were included in the report due to well-founded suspicion that they had committed criminal acts of abuse of official position. In December 2017, the commission, headed by Sekuilić, granted Kusovac a housing loan of EUR 52.000 for "solving the housing issue by buying an apartment." It was submitted to the ODT Kotor in September of last year, and then on October 30 it was submitted to the SDT, which opened an investigation and after half a year concluded that it would not prosecute the two officials.
Kusovac was previously the head of the Tivat branch of the Directorate of Public Revenues of Montenegro, the Municipality of Tivat already solved the housing issue once. In 1999, he was allocated a municipal plot of 533 square meters on Seljanov, but after a few years he resold it to a third party at 16 times the price.
Kusovac registered three apartments in Tivat, only to have them suddenly disappear from his property records.
At the end of December 2017, Sekulović's commission granted Kusovac a housing loan of EUR 52.000 from the municipal budget for the "purchase of an apartment under construction" in Pod Kuk, in a building that, as "Vijesti" wrote, was built in 2004 and Kusovac is in it. years earlier reported that he was the owner of two apartments. of the 52.000 euro loan, he will return 20 euro to the municipal budget over the next 14.560 years, paying a monthly installment of 60,66 euro
